There is this phrase that has been thrown around for the past couple of years - AFFORDABLE LUXURY.
I am not sure what marketing genius came up with it, but it has been bothering me.
You can't always have your cake and eat it, too.
To be fair, there are levels of luxury. When I was thinking about this, I was thinking of Mercedes Benz. You can be at the entry level of luxury. You can be at the mid-level of luxury. You can be at the ultimate luxury. The one thing you can't be is affordable luxury. Perhaps if you are looking for affordable, maybe you are looking at the wrong brand.
The same thing can be said for interior design services and furnishings.
If we look at a entry level based on value, you get a limited amount of services, lesser quality furnishings, and a basic experience.
In the mid-level, the amount of services are going to increase, the quality of the furnishings increases, and the experience is more than the basic level.
At the ultimate luxury level, you are getting the most services, the quality of furnishings is the best, and the experience is concierge level.
Just like a Mercedes Benz, these each come with a price based on the value of the services and furnishings.
Where do you fit into this equation?
What level of luxury are you looking for?
