STYLISH THINGS: ROOMS FOR LIVING

"LIVING WELL EVERY DAY IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN GETTING YOUR HOUSE TOGETHER ONLY FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS." - SUZANNE RHEINSTEIN

LOS ANGELES INTERIOR DESIGNER, SUZANNE RHEINSTEIN IS AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED INTERIOR DESIGNER AND THE OWNER OF HOLLYHOCK.

Her store is a renowned home furnishing and accessories shop, and is known for its unique antiques and decorative pieces.

Her signature style is often described as elegant civility—“fewer things but better things”- encompassing a mixture of beautiful objects, furniture styles, personal art, painted surfaces, and great attention to comfort, textures,

I was privileged to meet Suzanne Rheinstein at the Los Angeles Art Show  this past January, where the inspirational designer gave a talk about ‘Art in Interiors’, and signed copies of her new book "Rooms For Living"

Her books are beside my bed.

I often look to them for inspiration.

Included in Rooms for Living are examples of refashioned spaces, such as a neglected living room repurposed for reading and writing, and a kitchen which has been expanded to accommodate informal meals.

Rheinstein also offers innovative ideas on how to make a statement with an entryway by adding vibrant color, dress a bed for ultimate comfort and romance with luxurious pillows, display books in an understated way, and create a unique party atmosphere.

No small detail is overlooked.

Beautifully photographed, this compelling book of inspiration is a must-have for design-savvy and design dreamers alike.
